Who Am I?

I'm T Lloyd and I am the creator of this blog.  First, let me thank you for being here!  There is no me without you and I value each and every one of your opinions.  This space used to be mine but now it has become ours.  I read every comment, I'm grateful for every visit and my dream is to take us to print so everyone all over the world can carry these moments with them.  So who is the woman behind these stories, poems, and videos?  Well, I'm a Caribbean queen trying to make a throne in America.  I reside in the Bronx, NY and loving my borough is not my attempt to disrespect any other, so Brooklyn, CHILL!  I graduated from Temple University with two degrees, student loans and a precious baby.

I'm driven by music and inspired by the human race.  I believe in love and twenty four karat gold.  My first novel is in the final stages of completion and I don't know what the next step is after actually writing the last word of it.  But I'm excited, blessed and gifted.  Female empowerment and awareness is extremely important to me.  This blog is for women and the men who love them.  Currently, I'm on a journey that includes expressing gratitude, really falling in love with myself, life and hopefully a really handsome guy.  Also, I'm sitting in between God and Buddha, finding my inner peace, learning how to find peace within myself in the midst of chaos.  I'm currently anticipating a major hiatus for two reasons: to complete this book and heal.

Speaking of healing, since I'm from paradise, mangoes are the cure to everything.  I can enjoy being in the spotlight but I'm finally in a space where I can remove myself from it unapologetically and I'm going to do it soon!  Also, I'm a LEO!!! Well, actually, I'm on the cusp so I have some VIRGO traits too but typically I'm a textbook Leo which means I'm creative, dramatic, loyal and overprotective.  I bring you all of that here and I hope that it teaches you something, comforts you or simply entertains you.  I do this for you, for us, for anybody who has ever lived a life they weren't sure they were living enough.

I understand that we're in a new age.  Back in my day (I say that like I'm a senior citizen), but back when I was growing up and falling in love with different authors, there was no twitter, facebook, instagram - nothing. All I knew about them was what their words.  Today, life, art - everything is much different.  I'm open to it and I understand it but I still try to keep an air of privacy and I try to maintain certain things that I hold sacred.  So, essentially, you are invited into my home, not necessarily my bedroom or fridge though.

Anyway, I love you from the bottom of my heart and I'm so blessed to have you here.  Thank you for joining me and I hope you stay.

lastly, before you think this is the book -
i'm a lover and a fighter. i certainly will not choose one over the other.
